For Liverpool fans who have been waiting for the cup moment, this is one small step to future success.
Anticipation is high and to feed the hype and interest, here's what the Liverpool players have been doing for preparation.
No penalty shootout practice? No Agger and Bellamy? These are the players going out onto Wembley for today?
We are all eagerly waiting. Cardiff is no small fly, and Liverpool have a very good reminder of what can happen in a defeat in the form of last year's Carling Cup final.
For better or for worse, this is a defining day.

Thorsteinsson Teaches You The Flip Throw-In
Apologies for the long absence as I was caught up with loads of stuff. I promise you that this is going to be a common occurance. Yes, you read it right. But I will try to be disicplined in this.
So much has happened since the last post. Hell, even Henry has gone back to the MLS.
But here's something impressive and amusing about a throw in. Introducing a flip throw in.
via The Footy Blog
This is Steinthór Freyr Thorsteinsson. Helluva name too I would say. This is a scene from Japan vs Iceland friendly. But the player has done this numeral times at his club, Sandnes Ulf . Well, honestly, I have to look up for that club name as well.
So, alot would be going up to Thorsteinsson and say: "Teach me, Master!" And Rory Delap would be out of business as well. Or maybe he can learn the flip to empower his throw. Goalkeepers gonna hate. And Arsene Wenger too.

The Return of the King
Such stories are always nice to hear about. In just one week, we have seen two comebacks. Well, one is not really crowned king, but Paul Scholes is one of the adored legends for Manchester United. The other is more romantic of the two. Coming off the bench and scoring the winner on a second debut. Not to mention a statue that is standing right in front of his beloved club's stadium.
You can see the nostalgic feeling that filled the stadium after the goal. One of the legendary Invicibles has come back and helped through to the next round.
There will be at least six weeks of availability for the fans to look forward to. It is just a joy to watch a classy player, though aged, to be back and strut his stuff once again.
Let's hear it from Thierry Henry.

Tim Howard's Goal
Happy New Year peeps!
We hope this is going to be a great year in football.
So let's celebrate the new year with a great goal from Tim Howard. Yes, the Everton and US Goalkeeper.
As you can see, it is awesome. What is awesom-er is that Tim refuse to celebrate.
Here is the reason why:
But nonetheless, it is still a magnificent goal. Score credit should be written: 63mins Tim Howard + strong wind
Enjoy.

Here is the reason why:
"It was cruel. You saw the back fours and the keepers not being able to believe balls all night, and at the back one wrong step and it can be a nightmare. For our goal I was disappointed from a goalkeepers' union standpoint. You never want to see that happen. It's not nice, it's embarrassing, so I felt for Adam but you have to move on from it."

Wow. Classy and professional, ain't he? But nonetheless, it is still a magnificent goal. Score credit should be written: 63mins Tim Howard + strong wind
Enjoy.

FC St. Pauli Shot Santa
FC St. Pauli, the German football club where anarchy is equivalent to awesome-ness, are on their usual streak again. You don't know them, you say? They have an alternative rebellious logo, their fans parades their new kits in style and it is totally unsafe to be officiate the club's matches if you are against them.
And this time they shot Santa Clause dead. With a ball. Here's how:
Hohoho! *Boom* .......
Have a good laugh folks and Merry Christmas!

Oh Eva Caneiro!
This season, when I watch Chelsea matches and as the cameras zoomed to Chelsea benches for a look at their young manager AVB performing some dances, there is this person that always caught my eye.
See the stark contrast?
Not the suit guy. Nor the white tracksuit guy. Here try this.
There you go. The female species.
And it is very often you will see the Chelsea bench, as the theatrical manager is an attention seeker.
So who is this? It remained a mystery for me until it is half way through the season of the Premier League.
And from Dirty Tackle, I came to know her name.
She is none other than Eva Carneiro.
Carneiro was reported to be working with the England women's team and British athletes prior to Beijing Olympics before she joined Chelsea.
To be able to be in a men-dominated team and team doctor is no small feat. The groin strain jokes are already all around. And with John Terry on the team sheet, it is a "safety hazard" for Ms. Carneiro (refer DT link again).
So yea, here she is once again. And more reason to watch Chelsea matches nowadays.

Come Back, Fernando
Fernando Torres. That Judas of a smooth-hair-boyish-look-with-exotic-looking-wife-Spanish-legendary-World-Cup-winning SOB. It has been a year ain't it? We will still taunt and hate and burn your shirt if you show your innocent-looking face once again in a Blue kit.
However, like one of my friend with strong Liverpool genes once said, let bygones be bygones. As long as you effing return to us. The ground and people that once treated you as Legend and worshipped you like a God. And you should return, because there are so many reasons why you should.
20 million is nothing considering they pay 35mil for a over sized bean pole that have a similar form at the moment but of an entire different class. In fact, in a conspiracy context, I would have thought that Fernando was purposefully send over to the enemy camp for some covert mission. Liverpool get 50 mil and insider intel. And because there are fears that Fernando will flip, hence Raul Meireles was sent to keep a lookout. This is why Chelsea was thumped by Liverpool every time since the move of Torres to London. In addition, sources revealed that Benitez is the puppet master behind this.
I bet the blind Chelsea fans did not see this coming. HaHA!
A reminder of what he looks like in Red.
Anyway, jumping on the bandwagon of this almost ridiculous false hope is...ridiculous. I meant the transfer not the conspiracy.
